As a Program Manager, you are known for your versatility, multitasking ability, attention to detail, and your communication skills. These traits allow you own many different projects, manage progress, and communicate clearly to all parties involved. You have a passion to lead groups and the ability to tackle complex problems to ground.
Organization
This person will be central to our company’s ability and success in delivering change programs, growth, and overall success. The person will report to the Senior Director of IT and Program Management and will work closely will different stakeholders from all areas of the organization.
Responsibilities
As a Program Manager, you are able to distill complex ideas into actionable tasks, you enjoy working with teams to design cross-functional programs that are essential to our success and you then take the leadership role in tracking and managing those programs. You manage change effectively and bring predictability and quality to change programs. You are a team builder and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including peers, management and executive stakeholders. You work hard to communicate project expectations effectively to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. You are able to take on the responsibility of organizing tasks and working with a team to ensure they are completed on time. You identify and manage project dependencies and proactively address potential issues before they become a problem.
Qualifications
As a program management professional, you have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You have the ability to communicate both high-level technical and business information to broad audiences. You are able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies in a fast paced environment. You may have experience in a start-up environment, but is not necessary providing you have demonstrated an energetic and entrepreneurial approach in your roles.
You are relentlessly focused on delivering results. You don’t allow obstacles to deflect or deter you; you are a master of prioritization. You are also able to discern cross-project dependencies and enjoy connecting the dots to predict both issues and opportunities. You have the soft skills to get people to follow you, but the organizational skills to keep them pulling together towards the right goals.
You probably have at least a bachelor’s degree, but not necessarily if you are able to demonstrate past successes. You are a team player, can and will contribute to the company’s culture and spirit, and are a leader. You aspire to great things, and are willing to work to get there.
