Ernie Cormier, CEO & President

Ernie Cormier is the CEO & President of Nexage and responsible for the company’s strategic direction and business operations. He has built a successful career in wireless, digital media and content, software, and the Internet. After a well-rounded engineering education, Ernie started in product design and development, thereafter demonstrating consistent advancement to senior executive leadership roles.

He was most recently CEO of a venture-backed start-up in mobile gaming and consumer electronics, sold in December 2009. Just before that, he completed two years as the Chief Commercial Officer and MD Group Strategy and Corporate Development for Virgin Media in the United Kingdom (NASDAQ: VMED), with 9.5 million customers (mobile, cable TV, broadband, and fixed-line telephony), with approximately $6 billion in revenue. At Virgin Media, he was responsible for the consumer business P&L, including all sales channels; marketing; brand; product; content acquisition; PR; care; retentions; credit and collections; strategy; corporate and business development; and all related functions.

Ernie holds a BS degree in Controls Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and has completed certificate and related training at the Georgetown and Harvard business schools. He is also on the Mobile Advisory Board of the Mass Technology Leadership Council.

Joyce Bell, CFO

Joyce Bell is a financial professional with experience in high tech software and services industries.

Before Nexage, Joyce provided outsourced CFO and financial management services to start-up and small companies. She was the CFO of ClickSquared, Inc., a venture & private equity backed marketing technology and services company. Prior to that, Joyce was the CFO of Compete, Inc., a venture backed market research firm which was sold to TNS in 2008. Joyce previously worked at Be Free, Inc, an affiliate marketing company that went public in 1999 and raised over $280 million through its IPO and subsequent secondary offering. Be Free was sold to Value Click, Inc. in 2002. While working for Thomson Financial Services, Joyce was involved in the restructuring and implementation of global financial reporting, supporting the growth of a portfolio of five different businesses, evaluation of potential acquisition candidates and the acquisition and integration of three companies. Earlier, Joyce worked at Cingular Wireless and Boston Communications Group at a time of rapid change in the cellular industry; she began her career at Ernst & Young. 

Joyce earned her BS and MBA at Babson College. She has been a member of the Financial Executives International (FEI) since 2002, served three years on the FEI Board and is a member of the Academic Relations Committee. Since its inception, Joyce is a Steering Committee member of the CFO Roundtable, which provides educational and networking events for senior finance professionals.

Dr. Jim Butler, CTO & SVP Engineering

Dr. Jim Butler is an accomplished technology executive and responsible for the Engineering and Technology group at Nexage. His laudable career spans various architecture, engineering, and consulting roles, in addition to serving as the founding Chairman of the Boston Technology Leadership Council since 2002.

Prior to Nexage, Jim was CTO of matchmine, a media discovery network, where he provided technical leadership in the areas of Architecture, Engineering, and Operations. In the aftermath of the dot-com era, Jim was instrumental in the dramatic turnaround of eCredit.com, an enterprise software company later acquired by Fidelity Ventures. Jim has held Chief Architect positions at EC Cubed and American Management Systems.

Jim holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, an MSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an BSEE Magna Cum Laude from the University of Lowell.

Mark Connon, EVP of Corporate and Business Development

Mark Connon is an established industry leader with a unique blend of expertise in mobile, advertising, publishing, and privacy.  Mark joins Nexage from Umber Systems where he served as Chief Corporate Development and Privacy Officer, overseeing strategic relationships, privacy and the company's leading advertising and mobile data monetization solutions for its mobile carrier customers. Mark has previously held CEO, COO, and executive level corporate and business development roles with successful start-ups and public companies focused on mobile advertising, data monetization, mobile device technologies, and digital media, including OwnerIQ, Digit Wireless, Zip2 Corp., and MyWay, a CMGI Company.

Patrick McCormack, VP of Publisher Sales

Patrick McCormack oversees oversees publisher and developer acquisition efforts for Nexage. Patrick brings extensive experience in growing premium publishers’ revenue. As vice president, mobile sales & strategy, Patrick led The Weather Channel Companies’ mobile and tablet sales efforts and strategy, and oversaw TWCC’s team of mobile sales managers. McCormack joined TWCC from the National Football League (NFL), where he spent more than five years, most recently leading the mobile and tablet business as general manager of mobile in the Digital Media Group. His previous role there was head of subscription content products.

Prior to working for the NFL, McCormack spent over ten years at Accenture in management consulting and business development, where he most recently served as senior manager of their media and entertainment consulting practice.

McCormack received a bachelor of science in Business Management from Binghamton University. 

Kevin McGowan, Sr. Director of Product Management and Client Tech Services

Kevin McGowan is responsible for driving product direction and strategy at Nexage, while also managing supply and demand side integrations. He brings a wealth of knowledge in mobile advertising technology, data processing, client services, and support.

Prior to Nexage, Kevin held technical management roles and supported the ad serving platform at Nokia Interactive Advertising (formed by the acquisition of Enpocket). He started his career as a software engineer at Teradyne.

Kevin earned a Computer Science degree from Northeastern University and received his MBA from Boston University.

Victor Milligan, Chief Marketing Officer

Victor Milligan joins Nexage from Martin Dawes Analytics (MDA) where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer and led strategy, marketing, partner development, product management, and business development. Victor successfully repositioned MDA into the high-growth analytic market, driving growth in the communications and media markets, leading entry in the Utility/Smart Grid market, and winning the first global OEM agreement. Prior to MDA, Victor was a Senior Managing Partner at Gartner Consulting, leading their global industries practice.

Caitlin Remby, VP of Advertising Sales

During her 15 year media career, Caitlin has managed advertising sales teams as well as sold print, online, and mobile advertising for top-named media giants including Ziff Davis, Yahoo, Univision Interactive, Nokia/Navteq, and WeatherBug.
 
In 2011, Caitlin was named as one of the top Women to Watch by Mobile Marketer from her contributions and insights on mobile media. Caitlin is passionate about mobile’s effectiveness as a marketing tool and at Nexage, is contributing to see this at mass scale for Nexage and the industry as a whole.
 
Caitlin is an active alumnus at Boston College within their career development and mentoring program, and resides in Wellesley, MA.

Michael Sullivan, VP of Demand

Michael Sullivan is responsible for demand source acquisition and business development. He has extensive experience in the mobile advertising industry with management roles in global operations, sales, and finance as well as M&A activities.

Prior to joining Nexage, Michael was the Vice President Sales at uLocate where he was responsible for the monetization strategies and revenue management of the WHERE product. Before his time at uLocate, Michael was the Head of the Media Planning and Pricing group at Nokia Interactive Advertising, Nokia's mobile advertising unit that was formed through its acquisition of Enpocket, a leader in mobile advertising.

Michael holds a degree in Finance and Economics from Merrimack College.
